The community of Newbury Park, California is located in the western portion of the City of Thousand Oaks and Casa Conejo, an unincorporated area of southern Ventura County. It abuts the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, with main entrances at the northern edge of the park at Rancho Sierra Vista and Satwiwa.
The community contains two major new residential area, Rancho Conejo Village and Dos Vientos Ranch. Newbury Park was ranked as one of the top 100 places to live in the country by Money Magazine.
The community is served by the Conejo Unified School District and the Thousand Oaks library system.
The community is home to many famous and notable people such as Artie Shaw, who lived there until his death in 2004.
