Oak Park is a small, intimate community in Ventura County just north of Agoura Hills and situated between North Ranch and Calabasas.
Oak Park was formed from ranch land owned by Jim and Marian Jordan, stars of the radio show Fibber McGee and Molly. The land was purchased by Metropolitan Development Corporation i the 1940's and 50's. Homes were developed starting in the late 1960's. The population currently is approximately 15,000.
Oak Park boasts six community parks with a lot of Park and Recreational activities for children.
The Oak Park Unified School District is considered one of the finest school systems - public or private - in California. It is composed of 3 elementary schools, 1 middle school, 1 high school & an alternative High School. The library located on the Oak Park High School Campus also services the Oak Park community at large.
There are three shopping centres within the community containing markets, boutique stores and services.
